The Maintenance department installed two Modula Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) in their parts storage warehouse. These automated storage and retrieval systems proved space efficient and access controlled store for mission critical spare parts for the Gatorade bottling operation. This installation was one of the first VLM systems to include the new Pick to Picture graphical user interface. Digital photos of the parts are stored in the inventory database and can be used to select the parts from a picture menu or as verification of selected part numbers.
